Our second raffle item was a beautiful stained glass Golden. This is a one of a kind original design by Susan Young. Mary Williams of Columbia, SC was the excited winner of this artwork.
Martha Havens, one of our treasured Midlands Rescue volunteers, also put together a gift basket for a third raffle. Susan Young of Weaverville, NC was the happy winner. Why don't we have a photo of the gift basket? Susan reports that it was a long drive home an
d not only could she not wait to see all the goodies in the basket, but her goldens REALLY wanted to get their paws on the great toys! It was full of toys, treats, socks, many handmade items and many, many golden items!
From the three raffles, donations and sales of various golden goodies at the Midlands Rescue booth at the Sandlapper Golden Retriever Specialty, Martha reports that Midlands Rescue raised over $1,000 this weekend!!!! This money will go a long way to provide medical care, food, and other needs for the many goldens currently in foster homes with Midlands Rescue and those that are yet to come.
