Midlands Golden Rescue will be in the Blythewood Christmas Parade!

December 9th at 3:00 pm
Please consider walking with us in support of rescue!! If you are willing and interested in walking with us PLEASE EMAIL ME ASAP!!...just to confirm so I can send in the entry form. I really hate to miss out on an opportunity like this to educate the public especially when there is no fee to participate...hey even if you don't have a Midlands dog right now, we have other things for you to do and some of our foster dogs will need someone to walk with them!

WOOFSTOCK!!!
November 10, 2012

HI EVERYONE!! On November 10th we attended Woofstock - A festival of Mutts and Music. It was a great success. Lots of fun was to be had for all. Midlands Golden Rescue shared our goal and educated. We also made a few dollars as well. My thanks go out to my awesome helpers...Ed and Lisa Gohn, Jan Brown and her friend Greg. I would not have been able to do it without them. We brought Bailey and Holly along with us. They both enjoyed themselves and loved all of the attention although I do think that all that socializing really wore old Holly out!

Rescue Fundraiser!

Simple Dog Bumper Stickers and Magnets is supporting rescue with a Salute to Goldens fundraiser! For each item you purchase, Midlands Golden Rescue will receive $5.

Go to this site: http://bestpetstickers.com/salute_to_goldens and when you are ready to check out, be sure to choose Midlands Golden Rescue as the rescue you are supporting. You can purchase anything from the site, not just golden items.

Midlands Golden Rescue would appreciate your support. We have had a lot of heart worm positive rescues come in lately and that is draining our funds. Please help us replenish them with your support.

If you have other "dog-loving" friends, please pass this email on to them.

If you have any questions, please contact Mary at starseekergr@gmail.com

Thank you for your support!

Specialties are a lot of fun and this year was no different!  Midlands had a booth set up where Martha and Barbara sold all kinds of goodies that raised money for Midlands Golden Rescue.  Randy McGovern donated a beautiful original print and Susan Young donated an original piece of stained glass, both for raffle.  These raffle items raised well over $700 for Midlands Rescue.  A BIG thank you for these donations and to everyone who bought raffle tickets.

Barbara had a lot of fun showing her lucky golden dogs in the parade of rescues.  Susan had a sentimental weekend when she showed 11 year old Tucker in veterans obedience and conformation.  Got to love the old guys!  Mary was busy gathering the ribbons in the conformation ring with youngsters Jilli and Tag as well her current show dog, Jolly.  It was a fun weekend!

Thanks to our kids!
The fourth grade of Arden Elementary School as a participant in the Environmental Eagles Stewardship Program, is recycling aluminum cans. The money we raise by this project will be donated to Midlands Golden Rescue to assist in the work they do of recycling love. The students at Arden Elementary School care for the future of all living things. We are determined to do our part in making our community and the world a better place to live. We will be sending you some pictures to show you how hard we are working so you will be able to put them on the web page. We are all very excited!
